Tim in John Bull

Tim was the abbreviated pen-name of William Timyn (1902-1990), a Viennese artist and sculptor who emigrated to the UK in 1938. He began working for John Bull as a political cartoonist as well as contributing to other magazines and newspapers. Tim became best known as the creator of Bengo the puppy, who appeared as part of Blue Peter; Tim also created Bleep and Booster, who appeared regularly in the Blue Peter Annual.
